Sierra Nevada, in the town of Monachil (Granada), is the southernmost ski resort in Europe and the highest in Spain. Due to its privileged situation, it allows you to enjoy a fabulous climate and excellent snow quality. In addition, the Sierra Nevada ski resort has the attractiveness of being only 32 km from the city of Granada, with its endless offer of services, leisure and culture, especially the Alhambra of Granada.
The station is integrated into the National and Natural Park of Sierra Nevada, a mountain range, recognized as Biosphere Reserve, in which the highest peaks of the Peninsula rises: the Mulhacén (3,480 m.) and the Veleta peak, the second highest with 3,392 m.
Sierra Nevada has an extraordinary microclimate, motivated by the latitude of this very high mountain massif, which means that Sierra Nevada has a great natural wealth with more than 60 unique plant species and another 80 animal species native of the place.
In the ski resort there are a total of 79 slopes in different areas of the station; 4 are black, 34 are red, 33 are blue, and 8 are green. You can also enjoy activities such as Ski cross, Sulayr Park, snowbike, sleds, snow slides...
