Sierra Nevada, in the town of Monachil (Granada), is the most southern ski resort of Europe and the highest in Spain. Because of its privileged situation, you can enjoy a fabulous climate and great snow. In addition, the Sierra Nevada ski resort has the appeal of being only 32 km from the city of Granada, with its endless supply of services, leisure and culture, among which is the Alhambra in Granada.
The station is integrated into the National Natural Park of Sierra Nevada, a mountain range, known as Biosphere Reserve, in which stands the highest peak on the Peninsula: Mulhacén (3,480 m.) and the Veleta peak, the second highest, with 3,392 m.
Sierra Nevada has an extraordinary microclimate, brought about by the latitude of this very high mountain range, which gives it great biological richness with over 60 unique plant species and another 80 animal species native to the area.
