Lanzarote's climate makes it possible to enjoy the outdoors all year round, so there is a wide range of sporting activities.
The most widespread are the water sports like diving, surfing and windsurfing, but there are many others: hiking on foot, bike, horse or even camel allows us to discover corners of the island, adventure sports such as parachuting, paragliding and rock climbing for the more daring, or simply enjoy the facilities well-maintained and modern golf, tennis and paddle installations.
Lanzarote is home to dozens of places that must be visited such as the Montañas de Fuego (Fire Mountains) of the Timanfaya Natural Park or the Ajaches Massif. And we must not miss the San José Castle and its International Museum of Contemporary Art, or the Jameos de Agua (volcanic caves) of the great César Manrique. In June, is the celebration of the most important festivals of the island, Corpus Christi, where the islanders make huge salt carpets dyed in colours.
Anyone looking for something more than sun and beach will enjoy outdoor activities such as land and sea excursions, visits to various entertainment centres and theme parks of all kinds, where you can view live animal shows, ride horseback, learn about the local flora and fauna, slide down the water park slides, discover the underwater world, taste the local wine, etc...
Típical Lanzarote complex sited just a few meters away from Puerto del Carmen beach.
